Administrationally, the location of Sadeng Mountain mining by Kartika Chandra, CV is at Grenden Village, Puger, Jember, East Java. To reach the location from Surabaya, we can ride any vehicle. The route is Surabaya Probolinggo Lumajang Rambipuji (Jember 190 km) Gerenden, Puger.

Jember stratigrafi begin with Membetiri formation that standing up from interval of mountain, lava and suspected from the end of oligosen to the beginning of middle Miosen. This formation be united with Sukamade and Batuampar formation. Sukamade formation is turbidit sediment and Batuampar formation are flint and breksi. All of those broken through by granodionit, dionit and dasit.

In the examination area the stone can be trooped :

• Limestone unit

• Vulcanic breksi unit

• Tufan clay unit

Its cliff limestone interval breksi and tufan limestone. Colours of cliff limestone are white, dirty white and pink, half marble.

• Vulkano breksi unit

The composition andesitic basaltic, solid, black, open packed.

• Piroclastic stone unit

Piroclastic stone unit is tuf as a part of dust tuf, glass tuf and interstice tuf. Dust tuf is microlit plagioklas and black mineral. Mirror tuf is volcano glass.

Linning stone of west side at breksi limestone has direction N 205 E / 15 and cliff limestone N 175 / 17. Normal shift structure seen at north of investigation area on breksi limestone and micrite limestone on west east with 80 sloping.

Limestone at investigation area cliff limestone mudstone, biogenic and mikrit. The clour are dirty white, pink yellow, grey, marble.

Cliff limestone and mikrit limestone spread at north of investigation area, there are separate by the others limestone be united by precipitate locally, to mention the stone is super is for the clean white, yellow for pink yellow, abang gambir for red and gombong for mikrit limestone. Mikrit limestone is not be mined because crumbly, easy to squees and the result of burner.

The limestone quality in sadeng mountain is high grade with average of CaCO₃ more than 98 % with impurities under 1 % and CaO more than 98 %, Ca (OH)₂ 124 %. Limestone market this time is pieces with diameter up to 10 cm for anykind of limestone as a row material and coarse graved in 3 5 cm size from limestone first class as a carbids row material.

Limestone in investigation area is part of Puger formation. They are cliff limestone, mudestone, bioclastic, biogenic and mikrit, the colours are dirty white, yellow red, Grey, marble.

Locally classification of limestone are super, gambir and gombong. The average of quality are CaO 54,84 %, CO₂ 43,2 %, total CaCO₃ 98,04 % with the whole impurities under 1 %.
